If you could only have/recommend 5 APPS ?

Home++
Google Voice (only used for SMS, free texts)
Mototorch LED
Pixielpipe (uploads photos to online hosts, I use photobucket)
Weather Widget, free

Hmmm, I've listed all the apps posted that I don't already have for a total of 68. Now I have some investigating to do and lots of downloading.

Thanks for all the info.

I love my Droid.....

Thanks backlash for pixielpipe-I can use that, but never heard of it, and never would have found it.

I got a question for Handcent users, how do you turn off the built in text messaging?
Go into Messaging app -> uncheck "Auto-retrieve" -> uncheck "Notifications"

Now messaging won't automatically get your messages or display them, basically ensuring that if you close the app via a task killer, it won't run unless you manually re-open it.

I forget who mentioned it now, but the Google Listen is very good for podcasts. Thanks for passing that info on!

WOW, thanks to all the wonderful posts. I am planning on purchasing the droid early next year and now I have some great apps to download.

I'll add one that I haven't seen mentioned:

Fandango - it is great for movie showtimes and uses your location to find the closest theaters.

Love Fandango
I see they finally listened to all those emails I sent asking for an android version. My favorite service for buying tickets!
