Hey guys I was just wondering what was going to happen to tethering when we get ICS. I am currently using bluetooth tether to share internet connection with my tablet. I have read that some ICS phones can no longer tether via bluetooth due to verizon blocking it. maybe i should ask in the nexus forum?

I dont want to root and only use foxfi in emergency. Any information would be great.

Nobody knows. There is no leaked ics build "in the wild" for the bionic yet.

Edit: Just saw the leaked ics thread that started today. Might take some time and the leak may not perform the same as the future ota update.

Uh yes there is I'm running it right now

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Xparent ICS Blue Tapatalk 2

I am trying Wifi Tether. With the Bionic profile my network doesn't show up. I did get the network to show up with "generic ICS" and "Samsung Galaxy Nexus (CDMA/LTE)" but it errors trying to connect.

PDAnet works fine.

rooted on 2233

foxfi works without root.

just to repeat this question is in regards to ICS not current bionic status. I know Foxfi works and BT tethering on the Bionic not rooted. I had read on other forums verizon was removing these option and locking apps out.

EDIT: thanks Mach does BT tethering work still without apps?

This works 100% and don't listen to anyone who says it doesn't.
Restart your phone after changing the entitlement check.

i have also tried and it works

Can you post a tutorial for this . I need wifi/tether to work as it is my only source of internet.
