I can't see the light, well kinda

H'okay, so here is my problem: Last night and just now when I try to take a picture with the flash on my Droid, it will light up when focusing, then when I go to take the picture it will flash for like a nanosecond then go off. It doesn't seem to stay on long enough to light the picture up, is this happening to anyone else?

Dark, sorry meant to say that. Also I'm rooted running Succulent Desire 4.5, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. And it seems to be random about doing this as well.
