Is everyone else having this issue for the camera as well?

Ok, so basically when I take a picture (closeup macro shot)... I get a black screen (it's like something is blocking the picture).. however some portion of the picture is still visible.. this only happens with closeup shots when I have the flash on.. otherwise.. the camera seems to be working fine.

How close-up? I just took a picture at about 1 foot and it was ok. I do use Pro Zoom 5X Camera as a my camera app. Don't know if that matters though. You might try one of the camera apps in the market and see if that matters. If it doesn't improve, you may have a warranty issue.

Anyone know what is going on when the camera makes a beeping noise and doesn't take a picture? Been wondering what the problem is.

closeup as in a few inches... like a picture of some text in a book.. i get it to focus but then it goes to black.. and when i take the pic... it partially comes out with all black covering the screen.. only when i take pics extremely closeup. I'm not using any apps btw for photos.

I had this happen but it went away when I added a little more light onto the situation

Edit: or maybe I rebooted the phone, I can't remember

Just took a picture of a Bausch & Lomb Sight Savers box at about 1.5 inches and it came out fine. Try one of the market apps.

this issue seems to only happen in low light situations ... try it yourself. in low light macro (extremely closeup) shots.. the image won't come out or come out half black like the one i posted above... however, in normal light.. closeup shots come out fine...
