HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I am number 4 at my BB and though I have had thought of getting a refund, I bit my lip. I am just hoping that this phone is as good as it's hype. On a somber note, just because they are giving employees test phones as indicated in some posts here, that is NOT necessarily a good thing. These people could find issues and it could mean a new delay.
I am hoping not.
If this phone gets put off much longer, my $50.00 preorder will only be worth $ 30.00 :)

Yea I didint mind putting down the 50... but if its not out between now and the end of March Im gonna get my refund. But out of being pissed off and not because I want another phone

Wait for the Bionic or iPhone 5, both will be worth the wait.

I really don't see anything special about the Bionic besides its dual core =/

So how is tha tbolt any better?? Its tha EVOs roided up cousin...dats about it..

I'm new and can only guess, but I'd say (1) will be here sooner, (2) isn't motolocked, (3) can run sense, and (4) includes a $100 sd card in the box.

not sure if anyone has posted this yet but the vzw store in south co. here in stl has a dummy tb in now saw it monday looked good...

The one in the Chesterfield Valley has had the dummy TB set up for at least a few weeks. Really just looked like the shell with no internals (felt light), is that the same as what you saw?

You'd think they could disable the LTE radio, or even swap out the 3G one. Can't imagine HTC would just want to twiddle their thumbs for another 2-3 months because the dual cores will take a huge amount of sales from it.

If the Blunderbolt isnt released with 4G it wont sell. And in 2-3 months there arent going to be any dual-core 4G phones available so sales should still go well. It would be impossible for HTC/Verizon to rebrand the phone at this point.

like is mentioned yesterday, this recent news means a next thursday launch. Plus the fact of a 15th launch party. So that means phones arrive in stores the 16th, with a midnight sale that night. And ill bet dollars to donuts that there will be a midnight sale on this phone!! I know i would go, because by the time i get off work on the 17th they would all be gone lol.

I can't see any circumstances under which they would have a midnight release. Most stores didn't even open early for the Droid X. I wouldn't mind being wrong, of course...

both of the corporate stores in my town did. Yeah, i guess youre right tho, it is unlikely, but it would be more convenient tho.

What about X2? Isn't that dual and due in late may?

yeah, but its going to be a 3g handset. No LTE on that wagon.

Some lte bugs, cool, mail me a lte sim card when its fixed and let me buy the phone NOW. love the idea of voice and data at the same time on 3g, and I'm not leaving Verizon.

DX Liberty 1.5 ftw!
