I totally agree. For me, it's the principle. Their last official announcment on this phone was January 6th, unless you count the "sooner than expected" tweet, which was ridiculous since we didn't know when to expect it in the first place.

I think VZW and Blizzard Entertainment have the same definition of soon.

My boy at VZW just confirmed what the people at BestBuy told me. The 28th...

Too bad I can't get a BestBuy though. Would love to use my cc for no interest no payments....but apparently BB cannot do 1 year contracts...have to go through VZW for that.

One small ray of sunshine for me. I just called my BB and spoke with the store manager. I expressed my unhappiness at them having my 50$ for so long and that part of the reason that I went with their store was to get the free buy back program. ( I know, I know many of you feel it is not worth anything. But for me it is the principle of the matter that I should have received it based on their release dates that were wrong.) He is going to give me and hubby gift cards to buy in to the progrma if when teh stupiod phone ever comes in! Know it is not much, but it is something!

Ok...then let me go one step further.
If you actually waited that long, (11:59:59) then shame on anyone.
If this phone is somehow hampering your life or causing you angst, sleeplessness, poor job performance, hives, rashes, etc....go with another carrier and another phone.

Sorry, I had someone very close to me die from complications of diabetes, so that struck a chord with me. I know you didn't mean it that way...but it did nonetheless.

We're talking about a cell phone. Not the only one out there. Not the only carrier out there.

It's not a lawsuit, it's a complaint. But you knew that already. MY Best Buy didn't (and still doesn't) have a retraction up. Is that so hard to do? Apparently not, since other stores have done it. It is, in my state, required by law. End of story.

I think I am going to step away for a little while too. Following these threads really hasnt done anything for me. It can be fun at times, and im sure my curiosity will bring me back soon....I just need a break. Heck, maybe Murphys law will kick in, and they will announce a release date as soon as I leave. One can hope.

Where has anyone actually seen and can provide visual proof that the 24th was ever given as a release date at best buy , verizon , amazon etc etc ? I wanna see some concrete evidence , and until I do NOONE has a gripe about this .

What people have told anyone walking into best buy or VZW isn't visual proof . No guaranteed date has EVER been given , and anything else is pure speculation . When the suit wearing corporate executives say to release it , they will . NUFF SAID !

The guy showed me the computer screen of his inventory system and it flat stated unavailable when it came to the bolt. Tons of mentions of the pre-release though. Not a hide nor hair of the bolt in the system as far as shipment dates or anything.

Yeah because HTC said to hold off like I said they wouldnt release the xoom adn tbolt on the same day.
