HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Ok take what you want from this but this is my recent expierence.

Was at the mall and went to the Verizon retailer. Started talking to the guy about claiming my D1 on warranty for a faulty charge port. Told him I was holding out for the TB but now just tired of all the BS.. He then said just wait a week. I told him I really can't trust that it will be here in a week because nobody from Verizon can speak and say what the real date is. He told me that he has 3 coming this week for the initial launch. (Understand this is a small retailer in a mall in S Jax, so 3 is no surprise) He took my information called me from his cell so i could save his number. Told me Monday morning, 28, if I don't get a call by 10 AM call him and come by on lunch for the TB...

Again take what you want.. just sharing expierence..

I find it quite entertaining that people are getting upset over speculation. Forums are based on experiences and everyone's best guess. Even if someone came in here with a pdf of a press release from Verizon it still wouldn't be official until the company endorsed it. If you are looking for hard facts that can be proven then earth engadget site or some other tech review/news site. Speculation is the fundamental basis for threads like these and that's all.

I just called a local vz retailer and asked about the TB and its release date. He said he's guessing about a month, maybe two. I responded, they would do this much advertising and not sell for a month or two and he said, um, yeah.

ROFL everyone seems so clueless about this release. We need these executives at Verizon, BB and HTC to head our intelligence offices. They can keep secrets

"Thunderbolt will be here on thursday. I am off but will come in if I know what time you are coming. How many did you need?"

its happening guys. And the 29.99 unlimited data remains, including 3G/4G.

But people wouldn't be mad if they would say something. IT's not about the when to me, it's about the how. They have not said ANYTHING but "coming soon" which means nothing. That is why I am angry. I know that it won't do anything but I am still mad.

I bet the "coming attraction" trailers at the movies really drives you crazy then. j/k

They often haves dates and most movies these days are crap. Only two of many many reasons that that is a horrible analogy. Movies also don't cost a $50 pre-order last time I checked. Movie theatres don't say yeah you can watch it on the 14th and then say oh my bad Universal studios said not to play it. I know it was a joke but I'm too irate to not be like this...I'm sorry, I'm also just stressed about other stuff :icon_evil:

Those same folks were being told the 24th was going to be the release date as they were getting emails about it... so I wouldn't think too much bout the 28th if I were you... wouldn't be surprised if this thing actually came out in March...

Probably for while. Not many people are on 4g yet, or will be in the next month. When the Iphone 5 launches and I'm guessing it will be 4g that is when they might do away with unlimted data.

I think the main reason some people saying the 28th is because nothing shows up in the computer. It will come soon enough. I got Thursday off from work. I'll get back to you guys, hopefully with a new toy...

I think its ridiculous it has not dropped yet. Just a thought, what if they were going with something cheesey and sticking with the whole "Thunderbolt" thing and not announcing the release date until like a day before? Like you don't know when thunder is gonna strike until it does? Something like that? lol IDK but personally, i wouldn't be surprised if they announced it tomorrow for the 24th, i still want that sliver of hope haha
