HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I just called my local best buy in waldorf, md and they said that the date has been pushed back again to to feb. 28 or march 3rd. She said it definitely was not coming out on the 24th. I really don't think that they have a clue what it going on, but I just wanted to let everyone know what I was told.

I really wish the unsubsidized price wasn't so high. I might be able to handle 649 or 699 but 749 is just so expensive for a phone.

$700 is okay but $750 is out-of-bounds?

Lol, yeah...anything over $550 IMO is out of the question.

VZN almost always releases on Thurs. VZW has announced a release data for a popular android phone at least 1 week in advance except in the case of the Droid 2. But considering this phone is the Flagship for the 4G network I can't imagine they wont want to get more people interested aside from the forum people by announcing a release date ahead of time.
We've not seen any leaks of the complete phones. Many BB and VZW stores are just now changing their estimated release data from the 24th to TBA or not known.
Also we've had some recent reports from real Verizon insiders that say the Bolt/LTE is having some issues and they'd be surprised if there is a 24/Feb release.

Just for some perspective on all these "leaks" and "reliability of Best Buy" I went back 3,000 posts...

"I asked the mobile manager there, he told me I will be able to pick the phone up the 14th."

We know just as much now as we did then. I really need to stop getting my hopes up. The dates will come and go. This is ridiculous though.

miami has stated last night that the 24th is the date and as of now nothing has changed!!

This is almost making me want to go to another carrier. Or switch to iPhone. I'm tired of games and with the $50 I put down on pre-order I can walk out of bb paying only 150...come on vzw. Loyal droid customer contemplating droidicide!

As of late last night Miami told me that the TB was still on for being released on the 24th. I am certain that if he hears of any changes he is going to let us know.
