Email from one of the VZ "big wheel" I received confirms the 24th for the TB and Xoom.

Definitely wrong about the xoom. Verizon announced that it will be released the 24th.
How are they playing games with you? Not once did Verizon say "its coming on the 14th", "the 17th", or any other date... BB may have taken a preorder, but that has absolutely ZERO to do with VZW. If anything BB jumped the gun, but I can't even say that. Its always said "coming soon" in their print ads...
Logic dictated that iPhone would have 2 weeks before and after launch all to itself. If that didn't occur to you, that's your problem, not Verizon's.
The hype is weird for this phone, I personally think it will end up being the Eris 2 and will quickly become obsolete. Bionic and iPhone 5 will both be dual-core... Id rather wait 4-5 months and be happy for 2 years, than be happy for 4-5 months and then be disappointed that I didn't wait. Early upgrades are gone, so do you really think a 1ghz single-core phone will be up to snub for all of 2011 and 2012?? Remember that 1ghz single-core phones came out at the end of '09. (Nexus 1) So, halfway through 2012 your phone will more than likely be as archaic as a G1 is now.

When the iphone5 and bionic come out there will be quad cores w/terga 3 or better coming out in the near future... so your bionic or iphone 5 or whatever you wait for will already be outdated when it releases.... so what's your point? Besides reminding us that you can never keep up with technology unless your wealthy enough to purchase every new product in the market when it releases....

so my turn with my stories, was in the mall today and noticed there was a best buy mobile store, so I decided what the hell and go in...they had a huge picture of thunderbolt on the wall...I went in and was lookin at some of the phones, I decided to play stupid about the phones (I dunno why, it concerns me I was pretty good at it) and talked them about the incred and X, I asked if there were any new phones coming out that I should be looking at, she of course said that tbolt and it was coming out Thursday, so I said o really? she said yea and asked if I wanted to pre order, I said no, i'm gonna be out of town so it wouldn't make sense for me to, so i left...
As leaving the mall, I see there is a Verizon store right there so i decided to go in and see what I can get out of there, guy was pretty friendly, never mentioned the iphone to me, did the same thing, said I am lookin at upgrading my pos phone and getting a smartphone, I said I've been lookin at the X and thought it was cool, but worried it might be outdated a bit, are there any new phones coming out, of course he said tbolt, but didn't know the release date, he said that Verizon hasn't told them anything (he didn't know the price either), but stated talking to me about it, ssaid they had a big powerpoint presentation on it (so they have indeed been trained for it and are ready for it) and told me all the cool futures about it, he took down my number and said he would call me as soon as he knew when it was coming out...
Both places also said the data price would be the same as the 3G, and the Vzn guy said if they were to ever raise the price, we would be grandfathered in
