HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

wow.. I dont get this.. people are getting upset because VZW hasn't made a release date yet. THEY DONT HAVE TO!! THey can hold the phone til March of next year if they want to. They will put it out when its ready and when they feel like it. Calm down and just wait.

And as was mentioed earlier. I'm not a fan of Apple and I don't like it being on Verizon BUT.. they spent one heck of a lot of money I am sure bringing the iphone over to VZW. Let them ride the wave and make thier money back. If you owned a business I am sure you would take the route of "making money" as well.

I guess at this point given that Peter Chou, the CEO of HTC stated @ MWC this week that the HTC ThunderBolt was shipping this week, well I can certainly get on board with the hate fest for Verizon.

I figured out the reason for the delay, well two reasons. First the CEO of Verizon has no spine or substance between his ears AND Steve Jobs has his arm up his butt controlling it all.

All serious(ly) kidding aside, if its a no go this month, I will seek other options, no matter how much I love HTC Verizon is FAILING!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny part is... when you get the phone, you are going to toy around with it for about an hour. Then, its going to go in your pocket and you are going to do the same things you were already doing with your previous phone and 2 months later be back here talking about the next big thing...... vicious cycle.

Not me, this is my first smart phone. I can't do much more than call and text on my current phone.

This on again off again mythical release date of the TB reminds me of all of our anticipation and even anger towards Verizon back when we were waiting for the 2.2 update. As long as we are Verizon customers we are going to have to get used to Verizon playing games with deadlines (whether they are announced or not). Verizon is building the hype to make sure they get a healthy return on the investments. The longer they drag out the release of this phone the more it becomes a principle for all of us to have one and thus Verizon will experience big sales and their goal is accomplished. Us getting mad at Verizon or threatening to go to a different carrier will not affect Verizon because we are nothing but the drop in the bucket.

I want the TB as bad as the next person but reality is we will get it when and only when Verizon sees fit to release it. Threats of leaving Verizon and anger addressed to Verizon will not change their minds as to when they are going to announce or actually release the TB.

I personally still think it is going to be released on the 24th otherwise Verizon will then anger Best Buy because Best Buy has been using the TB to promote their "free" buy back program, which incidentally ends on the 26th. After which time you have to pay in for the buy back program. Angering the consumer is one thing but upsetting the cart with BB is another. In addition to their Buy Back program, BB has already printed and distributed their sale ad for this weekend which shows the TB available now. So there you have it. I think we only have a few days to wait and then we can all stop complaining.

I don't have twitter at work. Somebody should ask blackman x. If the 3g/4g handoff issues have been fixed. If not, I cab see them delay the phone until it is.

Someone tell Blackman x he cnanges his story not that long ago he said Feb between 17th and 24 lol.... I can say all those things also. HTC CEO should never have been allowed to say that they shipped if Verizon had an issue. Scares people that they are hiding something that HTC didn't know about and they are the manufacturer. I have seen these phones in stores already. They are not doing anything to them. What could they do? Open boxes and change sofetware I doubt it. Theese phones have been ready for awhile. I don't care what they threaten employees with and they do threaten firing them for running at the mouth. That isnt going to stop someone from talking.


If Blackman x is a verizon employee his jaunts around the globe, having a white iphone and a bolt at the same time along withVerizon superbowl ticketsthat would have narrowed the feild down that verizon would have figured out who he was and he would be unemployed today. The phones may not be fully stocked in all stores but they are there in some like I said I seen them. I will not get a friend fired but he has them locked away. Certainly Verizon never let not having enough ever stop them before

If they phone is working properly then release it then. Also I get his tweets also and I read how he was in the airport showing the bolt off to strangers so the phone is ok for everyday use. So ask blackmanx how can he show off the phone if it isn't ready for everyday use or as he says "half baked"
