it's st patrick's day so I know it will be that day because they have to ship it to verizon, verizon has to box it up and flash it to work with their system plus test it, then verizon can send it to retail then retail can sell it.

Hey forum troll, it is clear you have no idea what you are talking about. Do you think they are being delivered by horse-drawn carriage or something? Pony express? We're talking days here, not weeks. I stamp your prediction wrong.

Testing has already been completed, and they are already boxed when they leave the manufacturing facility. And what is this business about "flashing it to work with their systems"? How do you know what kind of process a phone goes through between shipping from manufacturer to retail stores? Also, shipping all the devices to Verizon headquarters first and then to retail outlets would cost twice as much money. Businesses are not in the practice of spending double unnecessarily.

Chou's announcement of shipment this week, combined with advertisements starting today online, combined with what BGR and Android Central said, makes me lean even more heavily towards 2/24 (ie. begin advertisements and shipping over the course of this week, start selling next week). You can't ignore the evidence.

well said chris. my only drawback on 2-24 is if they're shipping this week can they really get EVERYTHING set up and ready by then? im not in retail, so i dont know when or how far in advance devices like this are received by retailers.

We get business laptops into the customers hands in less than 5 days since the exited the Chinese production line , and that's a laptop with custom configuration and settings .not the usual home user laptop A batch delivered yesterday had a production date of Feb-10-2011 , so I don't know how HTC does it but 9 days is more than enough for shipping .

I was told by a salesperson at vzw that a phone usually shows up in stores about a week after its announced. We already have evidence that the promotion materials have been sent to the stores and best buy reps have already received training. I think it is very possible that it will come out on the 24th... we just need a press release from verizon.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "everything." Once VZW and BB get dummy devices for the showrooms, paperwork, display posters and cutouts, and the devices in stock in the back, then I think it will only take 1 day to get everything set up and ready to go on sale the next day.
