HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I am not upset I am just excited to have a pre-order in and know I don't have to stay glued to a forum waiting for Verizon to announce a preorder - I know I am 4th in lime at BB.

Now, I just called my BB and was told yesterday it would not be in and then I called this morning and they said it wasn't on their UPS truck but that it should be on the FedEx truck and that it is all set up and ready to go. We will see...

My "prediction " is that Verizon will officially announce a launch date of 02/24/11 tomorrow.

haha yeah yeah yeah. =) Had to at least hope a little bit. Just happy I'm high on the list of pre-orders, seems like there could be a bit of a demand/low inventory of the phone

Well if you pre-order a phone you get one no matter what.. Thats the point of the pre-order.. It shows the company how many units they HAVE to have on the launch..

It is probably a good thing it didn't come out today cause now I'll have time to write that paper that is almost due

Not that it should surprise any of you -- but the BB I pre-ordered from called me back and said that they did not get any in and there is a delay - but did not know when they would be receiving any phones.

He did say as soon as they found out they would be printing out the pre-orders and contacting folks to let them know when they could pickup their phones.

I don't think anyone should be surprised that the phone isn't available today -- but I'm definitely disappointed. Despite the fact that there was building evidence that the phone wouldn't be out today -- I was still hoping I might be able to replace my POS G1 today.

Just hoping that there's something more concrete soon.

So is the 17th totally out of the question? A while back people were saying they think BB will get exclusives to sell, not saying im getting my hopes up or anything but could BB drop the phone on the 17th and Verizon the week later? The BB I called yesterday said the 17th then was like "well sometime between the 14th and 24th". I would love to see it come out on the 17th at BB, but I doubt it will..
