makes me want to throw my mom's iphone 3gs in the garbage disposal. Maybe I'll sell her my droid because she is sick of it. Battery lasts 4 hours and half the time the internet doesn't work.

i hate apple so much... /sigh :icon_cussing:

+1. this is the company who tried to patent the original mouse idea, even though they got the idea from Xerox. this is a company who has tried to patent the telephone keypad... not saying other companies are faultless; just that I find it more difficult to stomach the way this one plays the game...

Serious shenanigans....$50 more than the 2-yr price on 3G phones that retail for over $150 less! Blatant manipulation of the retail price...Na-nah-nannnanna-na you can't afford retail you WILL sign in blood for 2-yrs.

If they want sales, they will drop the price. They will see. This is a bad time to be trying to sell a phone of any type at that rediculous price

and what does "National Retail Exclusive" mean?

well... national is well... nationwide. and retail exclusive either means they are the only retailers who have it or they are the only non VZW store to have it. Either meaning it would only be for a limited time. I could definitly see them having an exclusive week with it before vzw stores and then say a month or so before amazon/walmart/ect

Maybe. That retail price is for suckers, intended to gouge people who aren't patient enough to wait out a contract. An alternative way to look at it is this is VZW jacking up data prices indirectly thru a reduced average subsidy. And they've jacked up the retail price to almost force you to sign a 2-yr contract.

I'm someone who never thought he'd have any problem living with the D1 for 20-24 months, although I'm mainly after LTE and now I'm wondering how to get LTE feeling that nothing out there (or in the pipeline I've seen) is going to last me 2 years.

I've thought of some ways I might save myself a few bucks, nothing really appealing or particularly cost effective. I just have to limp along for another 9 months or so until I can switch to 1-yr contracts (though the IPhone is a 2-yr contract and I have a feeling other phones are going to follow the same trend).

I just don't see how Verizon's first 4G phone will ONLY be in BB, that makes 0 sense

guys, BB exclusive means no other 3rd party retailer just bb.. your high if you think verizon wont have the phone in stock to sell the same day bb releases it.. lol

It makes zero sense I agree but I think we've already confirmed that BB has them in stock. It's a weird situation, make no mistake.

Food for thought... just because BB has them in stock on the 14th does NOT meant that they will sell them on the 14th. They might very well sell them on the 14th, but without official pricing details and such, it is asinine for BB to sell the phone prior to knowing such details.

someone just linked a best buy ad with pricing and from what i have heard 4g data is staying the same as 3g.
