HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I'd be very happy with a 17th release. Also Verizon is only hurting themselves by not announcing far in advance. Which also points to a later date for a release.

I've already said this multiple times, but I just don't see Verizon putting this phone on sale within a week of their official announcement. It's their first 4G LTE phone!

I just don't see how Verizon's first 4G phone will ONLY be in BB, that makes 0 sense

guys, BB exclusive means no other 3rd party retailer just bb.. your high if you think verizon wont have the phone in stock to sell the same day bb releases it.. lol[/QUOTE

Check out this BB's facebook...it says the 18th now.

lol, wut?

I like how it says "sorry for the confusion"

Interesting to note:

At 9:15 in the Wirefly comparison video between the HTC ThunderBolt and HTC Evo 4G, Bob from Wirefly announces that Wirefly will be selling the HTC ThunderBolt the very first day it goes on sale.

Someone earlier said maybe online retailers don't count towards Best Buy's exclusive rights, in response to Amazon's listing.

I agree, but I wonder now that they have the IPhone and Android is going gangbusters if VZW isn't making serious cuts to its ad budget and just let Best Buy and the OEM's pick-up the slack.

I still think Apples legal machine is behind this hocus pocus. the changing dates are just to keep our attention and let is know that it will come after the ihype dust settles. We've already heard from one of the most credible sources available that release date is the 24th which will effectively prevent anyone from returning an iphone for a TB. I'd say the legal details are being fought, i.e. whether or not BB can release prior to VZW. this might be a bunch of hooey, but something tells me VZW is prevented by clear contractual language from selling the TB prior th 2/24, but the situation could be less clear for BB and online retailers. So they are either working the legal details or just hyping it up to keep our attention.
