HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

trying to find a droid x for under $300 is like trying to find a winning mega millions or power ball ticket. Almost impossible. Don't want to use my upgrade since something better might come this summer that i can use my upgrade on.

I got mine on eBay for 265 a few months ago. Might check Craigslist as well.

sorry i meant $250 is steep. Especially when for $300 i can get a droid x without contract extension then when my new every two kicks in in may I can do whatever. Actually I might go with the incredible to last me til may.

I'll be purchasing my ThunderBolt through Verizon as I do with all phones I buy. For those you ordering through Best Buy: If and when the 24th is made the official release date, and you were told/promised the phone would be out the 14th, I would complain and demand a free case or accessory of some sort from the Best Buy manager.

My local Best Buy told me there was no official date yet, but rather they'd call me once it was official to let me know when I could pick it up.

Like I said though; for those who are posting that their Best Buy said/urged it would be here on Monday, you should definitely complain of some sort.

Maybe I'm missing something but why would BB call you to pick it up if your buying it through Verizon?

I just called 1-888-237-8289 because the store I pre-ordered at NEVER answers their phone and was transferred to the mobile consultant (I think that's what she called it) and spoke to a lady named Cat and told her I made a pre-order for a phone and was checking to see if they knew when I would be able to pick it up.

She said if your talking about the Thunderbolt then as long as you pre-ordered it you can pick it up Monday. So I doubled checked and asked Monday the 14th and she said "Yes, this Monday as long as you pre-ordered it".

Man I hope it's this Monday, I love my Droid 1 but I'm getting real tired of hearing my daughter ask EVERYDAY when she gets my Droid 1.

to confuse things even further, KROQ in Los Angeles has been playing Verizon ads for the Incredible more than 3x a day all week. I've heard the commercial twice so far today.

You would think they would start doing this for the TB with the added "coming soon" tagline.

So here is a question. If I preorder through BB and it is available on The 14th, will I lose mine if I do not pick it up that day? My NE2 is Feb15th, so I would have to wait until Tuesday to get it

I just made a pass by my local Best Buy and a VZW Corp store.

BB said the date has been pushed back indefinitely. They confirmed that they could not do a 1-year contract and I would have to pay for the phone there instead of being able to put it on my bill.

VZW Corp store rep confirmed February 24. They didn't have any demos but the guy said he had seen one through an HTC rep. He said it's a really nice phone. Hotspot feature would be an additional $20, the 4G plan would be the same as the 3G.
