Yea that is pretty bad. I think that I would have to let that employee go lol. I wouldn't let that keep me from buying the phone from BB though. Thats just me.
 
Yeah I don't need the BB people to know about the phone since I already know everything there is to know lol

Alright now who here said the TB would come out in March?
 
VZW 20th to 24th, BB 14th. Verizon gets to pimp the iPWN and Thunderbolt but only has the headache of one launch.

I would not rely too much on what in-store employees have to say about phones, whether they are at Best Buy or Verizon. Do your homework before you go into the store, and be more knowledgeable about the phone than they are (which won't be too hard, just do a little Google, blog, and forum searching). Some of those guys really know what they are talking about and care about new technology, but to others its just another boring job.

Hence why I am so concerned about whether Verizon will be releasing it 10 days after Best Buy or not. I do not plan on pre-ordering from Best Buy. I have always purchased from the same Verizon store for 11 years, and usually do 2-year contracts, but I want to do a 1-year contract this time and use my eligible NE2 upgrade at the store for the ThunderBolt. While its an awesome phone now, I know I will want a dual core beast in a year when more manufacturers release their versions and bugs have been worked out, Android is on an iteration that supports dual core, and developers have had a chance to take a crack at games specifically for it.

Because when tiny flip phones and camera phones were about as good as technology got, you could have a phone for 2 years without getting left behind. With the release of smart-phones, they are more like computers, and so become "obsolete" even faster now as new specs become available in new phones. Phones are leaps and bounds more capable than they were just a few short years ago, and increasingly so, therefore a 2 year contract is not as viable an option as it used to be for the technologically-inclined who just have to have the most top-of-the line specs available.
