HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Can anybody confirm 100% whether or not Best Buy will allow you to sign a one year contract on Verizon?

Also, does anybody know how phone numbers are assigned to you? I am currently at school in Santa Barbara, but I live up North. I plan to start a new plan and get the Thunderbolt, and I want a new number. Do they give you the number based on your address you are putting on the account, or based on where you are signing up for it? Because I want a number from my home town, but it is 8 hours away and I don't plan to make the trip for another month.

Oh, and, I preordered mine. The girl said the 14th. Though both employees seemed pretty clueless.
 
Maybe you could buy it full retail at best buy and then sign a contract with vzw and get them to credit your account 300 bucks?

Bb ia two year only. Phone numbers normally go with area but you can pick a different area. You might need to get manager to help at bb. I did it in FL and got two NC phone numbers. Worse case u can change number with verizon.
 
I was going to wait for Verizon but the fact that you can't use your NE2 credit on a new 1 yr contract and best buys new buy back program assured me that preordering and skipping ten days wouldn't be a bad thing

Seemed like I recall in one of the videos at CES of the Thunderbolt that they said it would sync with htcsense.com. Has anybody heard anything on this?

Well the TB *is* a Sense 2.0 device so I would hope it does. The updated Sense is one of the reasons I am going to get the TB over the Bionic (baring some sort of last second decision).
 
IF Best Buy is exclusive for the TB, it won't last long. I remember BB had the original EnV in green exclusively at BB, then a month or so later it was available anywhere.
