I am right there with you Cakes....... Joking or not, there have been a lot of haters on this thread.

He did say the 24th though, and as of now the chance of that looks extremely bleak. If I came out and said the phone is coming out on ____ and I was wrong, people would give me a hard time too, deservedly so.

His apparent "sources" are turning out wrong, so why should we just be like "ohhh silly Miami you were close!!"

He also said that Verizon could change their minds at the last minute, which obviously they did. He never said the 24th was set in stone. He only said "As of now....." So he did not mis-lead anyone. Those that think he inferred that the 24th was the gospel needs to go re-read his posts. Also if you follow him on twitter he has said all along "as of now..." never its firm or its definite.

We are going to get the phone and I am sure it will be sooner rather than later based on how frequent the commercials are running now. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and just relax.

I got my hands on a working thunderbolt today. Its nice to say the least, but the htc rep didn't have a release date either.

ot.. i always said it would release when this thread hit 5000.. little ways to go but its open again.. its a sign..

really though quickly... upgraded wifes phone tonight.. feature phone blah whatever.. i got the reps email. confirmed cause he called me back in response to an email.. he told me to email on 16 phone will ship 17 definite.. take what u want from it.. i know he just a rep.. just sharing..

If you come on here in regards to any phone, app, etc.. and give a release date, weather it is of your own accord or by someones sles wrd, you posted it, you own it. Miami may have posted a date baed on sources and he was wrong. He may deserve a little grief BUT.. In MY opinion, he was just trying to help out and give some info to those seeking it so.. Yikes. This thing just got re-opened. Lets stay civil. It seems fairly likely that the network is the problem. Not necessarily all markets but some. Really have my fingers.crossed that they can figure this out by the 17th.

I understand the frustration but the thread just got reopened. Please lay off comments like those so we can keep the thread open this time.

On topic: a lot seems to be pointing to later now IMHO. I was interested to find another thread on here quoting the CTO for Verizon stating first half and not first quarter for phones running on LTE. Sad I know but what can I say. They got us by the short hairs.

Not really, I just bought an HTC Inspire through Amazon for $59.99, with free 2 day shipping. I finally reached the end of the line with Verizon over these endless delays and decided to add AT&T to my cellphone landscape.
