HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I called bestbuy and told them I don't want to make a trip to town tomorrow if my tb isn't there so what time should I pick it up. He put me on hold then came back and said 11:00 am.

Guys, just wanted to keep you up to date here. I just talked to my rep again today, to confirm tomorrow as the release date. Here it is:

Me: "So whats the launch date? You said tomorrow right? Im just trying to clarify, because i need a decent phone for work, might pick up a used one, if this gets cancelled of something."

Rep: "It is tomorrow."

I also asked if an announcement today was pending. Still awaiting a reply. Ill keep yall posted...

They told you 11a so that they'll have time to call you and tell you not to come afterall because they don't know for sure.

as much as I hope its tommorow, those verizon reps usually don't get told anything until the last minute.. there's a good chance he'll tell you its postponed at the last minute.. I really hope I'm wrong though... but as history shows this phone's release date has been a nightmare.. keep us posted though maybe it can still happen tommorow

is this a BB rep or a VZW rep?

Just wondering because I have the extra $100 credit available for my upgrade for being the main line on a family plan and was told by BB that only Verizon stores honor that - so I'm definitely looking to purchase thru VZW.

Not looking good is right!

I just called two local Verizon stores and received these answers:

(Store 1) - professional
Me: "Hi I'm just calling to find out if the Thunderbolt will be in stock tomorrow?"
Rep: "Give me a moment...Let me check my transfers...I'm not seeing anything besides the Xoom tablets...Check back with us tonight just to make sure"

(Store 2) - either dumb or playing dumb
Me: "I'm just calling to check on the thunderbolt will y'all have it in stock?"
Rep: "Is that when its suppose to launch?"
Me: "I don't know man that's why I'm asking you"
Rep: "Well all I know is that the Xoom tablets will be here tomorrow"

I'm an optimist but it doesn't look good at all. Guess we will have to wait and see still!

Well one of two things.

#1 They posted something premature and are now just covering for it.

#2 What they say is true and should give us hope that we may very well see a release of tomorrow, or the 28th. Who knows. At this point I doubt very highly for tomorrow as I would expect we would have seen something by now.
