I'd like to point out that "OMG SUPER TOTALLY RELIABLE BEST BUY SOURCEZZZ!!!" is also responsible for the "HOLY GOD 100% CONFIRMED FEBRUARY 14 RELEASE DATE FOR SURE!!!"

Best Buy sources I do trust: Employees who take pictures of computer databases.

Best Buy sources I do NOT trust: Randomly sited sources in a random Android blog.

What is bumming me out is that AT&T has announced a firm date for the Atrix, but we still haven't heard a peep from Verizon. Blerg!

A screen shot does not do much for me. Look what happened with the exact same type of screen shot that used to say 2/14! 'Nuff said. That would be nice if they started selling them Sunday though because of the advertisement if they had them in stock by then.

What I want from a Best Buy employee now is for one of them to go back in the storage room and take a phone picture of the BOXES OF THUNDERBOLTS sitting there on a wooden pallet! Then we can start to rest easy.

Smart move on their part to move the Atrix up to 2/22, to try to get a dual core beast out before this phone on VZW: good for their marketing, bad for ours. Hopefully it has Verizon scrambling to do everything in their power to make sure this release happens ASAP.

It looks like a lot of blogs out there are probably making assumptions about release dates based on prior patterns of product launches. This appears to be unlike any other product launch VZW has ever done, so this is all new... and eminently frustrating, too!

Gah, news of the delay is hitting all of the blogs. This is just plain stupid. Not that more blogs reporting it makes it more likely, since it is just a chain from the first blog to report it. But regardless, this is turning into a circus. Has there ever been a phone with a release date handled like this? Seems ridiculous.

Are there any decent blogs reporting this? I.E. df, androidforum, phandroid, droid-life. These all seem to be one off sites, that are probably reporting based off that first android attic blog.

I honestly don't believe the latest 28th rumor at all. It would make no sense. There is nothing that would be wrong now that they could somehow fix in those extra 4 days, and on top of that, the blog that posted it doesn't show a shred of proof. I think they are just trying to see how fast they can make a rumor spread. Also none of the more major Android blogs are picking it up as far as I can tell.
