It can be difficult to make the decision to mod or hack your phone the first time. The task can seem daunting and also it may seem hard not to mess things up, as most Root lingo is confusing at first. Developer "Hasoon2000" aims to make the rooting and modding process painless with his all in one Root toolkit! This is not his first go around either as he has already developed toolkits for other devices like HTC Amaze 4g, HTC Sensation 4g, HTC Vivid, and now the Rezound. You know this guy knows his stuff! Oh he also does development during school! +1

What can the toolkit do?

1.) Install Htc Drivers (so pc can see the phone)
2.)Unlock Bootloader
3.)Install Recoveries (your choice CWM, CWM touch, AMon Ra)
4.)Flash Kernels
5.)Boot into Recovery
6.)Relock Bootloader
7.)Debloat and Debloat Remove

and more!

This is a must have for anyone new to Rooting and modding!

hmm, kind of an off topic question but how easy is the rezound to root, rom and flash kernels on these days? have they made any more advances and does it compare in ease to the droid 1 or the g-nexus yet? Oh and are there lots of roms for it yet?
i might have to rethink what i get for my upgrade...

If only life was as easy as this tool is; step 1 -> develop cold fusion technology, step 2 -> rule the world.

I'm impressed.

I can't say that I know the answer to all of these questions, but even before this tool you could go to the HTCdev website to unlock the bootloader. Also, in the Rezound forums there are several available ROMs to choose from, in addition to a few kernels.

I'm up for an upgrade as well, but I'm almost dead set on getting the Galaxy Nexus. Two of my friends got Droid 4's, and they're pretty bad*ss devices, but I refuse to give any more money to Motorola until they allow their bootloaders to be unencrypted. I think I'm really going to miss the physical keyboard...

No.....no you wont...I thought the same going to an incredible 2 coming from a droid 2 and og droid....You will be just fine.:D

You'll miss that keyboard

I miss my keyboard

Many times on my nexus I press "c" or "v" instead of space....or accidently close the whole dang text out because I pressed home!

My accuracy is gone and just "knowing" where the keys are are gone too. I now have to look down at my phone

Nah...you'll miss it....

I take it you're not using Swiftkey or another 3rd party keyboard? I'll almost definitely not stick with the stock keyboard if I choose the Nex over the D4.

I loved my Droid 1 and getting a new phone was very difficult because I really wanted 4G but was not looking forward to a touchscreen keyboard. I don't regret in the slightest choosing the Rezound - its fantastic - but I still miss the physical keyboard. Even with SwiftKey, it doesn't compare.
