The HTC One won't be released until April, however developer "Hasoon2000" has already released his full toolkit which provides all of the stuff we need to mod our device. With this toolkit you will be able to easily Unlock the bootloader, install recovery, and root your device. It includes all sorts of other goodies like Kernel Flash, Boot into bootloader, boot into recovery, check CID, Erase Cache, Relock Bootloader, ADB sideload rom, Flash Factory RUU.zip and more! Today the HTC twitter account did tweet that Verizon will not have the HTC One, but it is still expected that Verizon will atleast have a rebranded version. Hopefully this will work on that device once it is released!
