It was a big mystery yesterday why HTC didn't reveal the HTC One M8 Eye, even though we knew from previous intel it was coming. That mystery has been solved. Apparently, the HTC One M8 Eye is only scheduled to launch in China, and will be getting its own separate launch there.
It will hit Chinese retail shelves on October 15th for 3,999 yuan ($650). It turns out that all of the previous intel was true about the phone. It has the same specs as the "vanilla" HTC One M8, but the HTC concocted Ultrapixel sensor has been replaced with the same 13MP camera in the Desire Eye. It also includes one on the front as well.
It's possible the device will later come to India as well, but that is just rumor for now. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
