Oh, and the X has a better GPU then the Evo, not to mention better build quality. Someones an Evo fanboy.

No kidding, I have had extensive use of both phones (I do IT work & support all our corporate phones, I have a DroidX but we have a handful of EVOs also) & I'll take the superb build quality & MUCH better battery life anyday over an HTC device.

I could care less about video conferencing on my cell phone, that's what we have laptops & webcams for...........

No it's not worth trying. I have tried the X and without a doubt the Evo 4g beats the X hands down. Who in their right mind would give up video conferencing and 4g for a X? You will be sorry when LTE arrives and then you'll have to buy yet ANOTHER phone. Trust me video conferencing makes a big difference in the 2 phones and the only people who think that it doesn't are the ones who don't have it.

Umm.. Video conferencing is a fad and will always be one. Its not new technology by any means. And using LTE as an example is weak, LTE is only going to be deployed in X amount of cities, what if he lives in an area without LTE lol. It will take well over 2 years for LTE to roll out to most areas.

btw I like the Evo, I just happen to hate Sprints coverage where I live so I got an X :)

Lol, at Motorola build quality. That's a joke right?

Like I said before the only ones who don't think it's a big deal(video conferencing) are the ones who dont have it. My wife has the X and I know all about it. It's not faster than a Evo. It's easy to talk down about something you dont have yourself. Well I have both and the Evo is a better phone. If you dont have Sprint by all means get the X it's the best Verizon has to offer, but if you already own a Evo you would be a fool to trade it in for the X.

I have owned quite a few HTC phones. HTC always comes out with cool features, good looks etc but their build quality has always sucked & motorola phones are built like a tank.

The only HTC phone I ever owned that was decent build quality was the TouchPro2 (the original TP was the worst phone ever made)

Now, the EVO isn't as bad as the TP, but the first one my boss had was falling apart brand new out of the box (the screen was peeling off).

I'm no "fan boy" of any phone, our corporation has Verizon, Sprint & ATT phones & I have to deal with all of them. I like the phones that give me the least agravation in my work & HTC phones have always been a PITA to me.

I would rather see all my co-worker using iphones (a lot of them do anyway) than a whole passle of EVOs (sure, ATT service sucks but they can't blame me for that).

As far as video conferencing, we do that everyday from all our different locations. We use 17" LTs & web cams. Nobody has ever said "too bad we can't use our tiny little 4.3" cell phone screens for this....."

" I would rather see all my co-worker using iphones (al lot of them do anyway) than a whole passle of EVOs." No true Android user would ever say that.
As for video conferencing I should have said video calls because there is more to life than just work. Some of us have women who like to see us in realtime(albeit with some lag) on our 4:3 inch screens. Video calls have given phone sex a new meaning. But of course you guys dont care about that sort of stuff.

though I dont' have an Evo or have ever used one, I love my DroidX. As for linpack/quadrant scores, they mean crap. I put the Rubix ROM on my DroidX and though I was very happy with the speed before with the OTA 2.2, the Rubix which is built on Tranqulity for the OTA 2.2, it is DAMN FAST!!! Very happy, love my phone, would suggest it to anyone.

LOL, you really are a true fanboy. I didn't say it as a "true Android user" (whatever that is), I said it as an IT guy who has to support the things including most users that are not power users like the posters here.

Well, you're right there. I like my sex in person, not like some lame over the phone. Even if I did want to do that, it would still be 100 times better on a big screen LT with a webcam.......

Advantages I see the EVO having:

4G
Front Camera
Sense UI
Speakerphone
Slightly shorter
HDMI out the box

Advantages I see the X having:

Camera
Reception ...I would say its better just for the 2 antenna design but thats something u would have to test urself.
Battery life
Screen..even tho they both have LCD screens...
Is The iPhone 4's LCD the Best? | PCMag.com

Maybe its something Moto did that HTC didnt, maybe its a different type of LCD, I dont know.

Noise cancellation mic(s) for good call quality
Good audio when recording video
Video recording
Better gpu. Look at Angry Birds. Either Sense UI, the gpu or both is giving ppl problems even starting that game.
Even tho HDMI out the box is better on the EVO, the X has an HDMI app that does wonders. Some EVO owners are kinda upset they cant get it right now. I think the dev needs an EVO to do work on.

If u have to leave Sprint and go to Verizon, unless u will miss the pros I mentioned for the EVO, u should be happy with the X. Of all the things the EVO has, I wouldnt mind having the speaker phone, Sense UI and probably the front camera. Thats it.

LMAO a lame is someone who cant get real women to send them something like that over a phone. I see you have no idea what fun is at all. It's about having fun between people who happen to have phones capable of making video calls which you don't seem to have. Ask a guy in Iraq or Afganistan if they like having EVOs or better yet ask their wives!Sometimes a person isn't near a laptop or a bigscreen . A true Android user is someone who owns a Android device which I doubt you do because no one who does would recommend a Iphone over any Android device(well maybe Eris). OP Stay with Evo but if you lose Sprint the X is the next best thing.

People might say evo has kickstand and front facing camera but it don't matter. Droid x is way better. Imo

:rofl2:

Of course we don't!
LMAO You've got to think outside the box. You meet a two hot girls in a bar/club. One has a Evo. After a couple of drinks and a exchange of Tango (video calling app)numbers and guess what? In 10 minutes you'll see some amature porn streamed from the girls room. Try that with your bigscreen and laptop webcam.

My wife might have a problem with that though.

Back in NYC 4 good!!!
The reality is that the Evo and Droid X are two high end phones. Everyone who states their phone is better than the other is only voicing their opinion and we know what those are like. If the Verizon network is better in your area, go with the X. If it is Sprint go with the Evo. It is like choosing between a BMW and a Mercedes, there are going to be different things you like about one car over the other, but they are both still great vehicles. Same with the X and Evo, both are great phones.

We married guys wouldn't use them for that but for the single ones out there I'm just giving you an example of what you can do with an EVO. Ok here's a better scenerio: Your grandad's dying in the hospital miles away. He says he want's to see you one last time and hear your voice. You want to see him to. You can't make it in time to the hospital but your sister is already there. She has a Evo. So do You. You make that video call to her phone.Grandad's last wish just came true thanks to EVO's dual cameras. How about that?
