I think this will be a lonely place with that battery size and no SD slot. This was the great red hope. There's almost no way we'll see Sony's new phablet on VZ, so looks like the Note II will be the only game in town.

So, this amazing, amazing piece of hardware has sub-par battery capacity and on-board storage, why? I just cannot understand the point in making something so great that is undermined out of the box by those key features. Having to move everything from the cloud everytime you need it is not only annoying, it's going to violate the battery on LTE.

I know, I know, everyone complains about this in every single DNA thread, but deep down inside I'm hoping that if we do it enough by some miracle VZ, HTC, or someone will see this and release a better version before it's too late and HTC goes under from their foolishness. Of course, perhaps this is all part of a VZ plot to make users incur overages so that they can gouge them with fees.

It makes no sense but then again is why htc continues to lose money. Samsung may not have as good a screen or camera as the dna but with the note 2 you get all day battery life with a screen and camera that is competitive I can see Samsung making billions why htc continue to nose dive.

It's just funny: companies pay millions for research, focus groups, etc, yet since the advent of the net it's so easy to gather data on what your customers want. Sure, there are people who won't speak up about they're looking for, but how hard would it be to pay a few people $15/hour to read what's being said on forums that are freaking dedicated to the products that you sell? Literally every single phone forum and dedicated site has pages of comments for these devices saying in black and white "this is what we're looking for, this is what will make us buy your device, this is what will make us recommend it to our friends and families." Life could not be any simpler in those terms. Sure, there's a lot of data to sort through, but it's far easier to make informed business decisions than it has ever been before relatively speaking, so HTC failing so badly here is beyond my comprehension. It literally almost makes me upset to see a business run so poorly when it has so much potential.

toward the end the guy summed it up perfectly. Those looking for a phablet will gravitate toward the note 2 while those wanting a phone choose the dna. Both are awesome phones and cant go wrong with choosing either.
