How's everyone liking Nougat?

My download started on its own while I was in my truck driving to walmart. No WiFi...I had to quickly cancel it because I don't want the update. I then clicked and held the i (info) button on the download in my taskbar. That took me to moto settings where I turned off moto updates. That was well over a week ago and I have rebooted and to this point have not gotten a prompt to update again.

It's a worthy update, Wadman. Improved my BT. Nothing big changed. No bugs introduced. Moto with the quality update finally.

I don't want to update because I have to use the hotspot workaround. Signal Refresh won't work with N. My wife an I have grandfathered UDP and cannot add the hotspot feature to our current plan. I don't want to switch to the new unlimited because of the 10 gig tethering cap. Until there's a way to tether I cannot update.

Pull the sim, start hotspot, insert sim. Done.

Love it, it's like having my Note 7 back, the S7-Edge was very close, but now with Nougat, it's even better...

We use our tethering a ton because we have no viable option for internet where we live. We travel a ton and to doing the sim trick, even if simple, is a pain in the rear. That's how I use to do it until signal refresh came out. I want to upgrade but I have read elsewhere that the sim trick works for some, and others get kicked off the hotspot once the phone gets a signal. Oh well. Sorry to hijack the thread.

Got an email from Google today. I did notice this issue but didn't make the connection it was caused by Nougat. Couldn't order an Uber the other day.

Hi Vinny, (No, not my real name)
It looks like the recent Android 7.0 update may have impacted Android Pay on your DROID Turbo 2. As a result, when you try to pay with Android Pay, you may be asked to unlock your phone repeatedly and the transaction might not go through.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible and will be releasing a new version of Android Pay in April that will fix the issue.

They then go on to tell you how to fix it yourself, basically re-add the card. And...

If you complete these steps by March 28, we’ll give you a $10 Whole Foods gift card.* It will be automatically added to your Android Pay app within 2 weeks after you complete the steps.

Haven’t updated your phone yet?
If you haven’t updated to Android 7.0 yet and would like to continue using Android Pay uninterrupted, you may want to consider waiting until May 1 to update.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Finally decided to take the dive and switch to the new unlimited plan from our grandfathered unlimited. I kept getting the prompt to update to N, and since the hotspot workaround doesn't work with N, I said what the heck....plus it ended up saving me like 80 bucks. I digress. The only issue I have noticed is my battery drains quite a bit faster. I know sometimes you have to let the update bake for a few days, but it seems like it drains faster. I love everything else. It seems faster and I love the new notifications.
