How to root lg revolution

I have had the ally and the vortex and have successfully rooted both. I unfortunately am scared to be honest to root the revolution for fear of bricking it. Can someone give me a step by step way to root it? I heard superonclick works but im not sure how to use it or how to back up my files without first rooting.
