New Member
I did a few searches but came up empty.

Im trying to find out how to downgrade from GingerBread.

The ony thing i came across was a How-to go back to 2.0.1 from 2.1

can anybody help me ???:frown:

Do a search on google for "linux cd sbf 2.3.340" You find a link to a bootable linux cd. All you have to do is boot the cd, put your phone into bootloader (not bootstrap), plug it into your computer, and it does the rest. Totally painless and you're back to froyo in minutes.

how to do it on a Windows computer?

The file is an ISO image. Just burn it to a CD and your pc will boot to it. The post I found it in has all the instructions. There is no commands to learn, the CD is all set up, pretty much an automated process.

As for your apps, they should restore after you set your phone up after you SBF. I just went through the whole process so I could flash DarkSlideX on my DX. I was up and running in about 25 minutes. Really painless. The CD is the easiest phone restore process I have ever had.

so if I do it your way all my apps will be there when its all done ?

Your apps are synced to google so they will dl again once you are back up and running. Same with contacts. It takes forever for the market to dl them so it's better and faster to use titanium backup (this way you can also save app data)
