How to close Internet when finished? and How to cut and paste?

Have a new Droid X, received 09-03-10. So far the only problem I've had is to learn how to close down the internet when finished and how to cut and paste?

Called VZ and the young man gave some erroneous info on closing down the net, he said there was an option to "close window" under "more" of Browser Options, but "close window" doesn't exist on my phone?

You don't have to "close" the browser, just press home...the browser or anything else you might think is open in the background is actually "frozen" and not using any battery or doing any harm to your system

no need to "close" it. just hit the home button. now if you've been on a questionable site, ie porn and dont want that showing up the next time you open the browser then you can use advanced task killer to kill the browser app. I would recommend trying out the dolphin hd browser, it has an exit option and some other features i prefer over the stock browser.
