How do you download files/pic to pc?

I have not found a way to download files or pictures to a pc.

Is there a software I need to download.

I connected the power cord to pc and the pc sees it but doesn't access it.

User error?

When it is plugged in, open the notification bar and select the usb icon. Then select dock when it pops up. Your computer will them read it as an external drive.

This is correct, but I think it says "mount" not dock. I may be wrong though. But either way...once you do this is just drag and drop both ways. Anything you bring into the droid (movies, picts, Music) will automatically be recognized by the Droid and playable as long as it is a format that the Droid can play.
