How do I transfer my phone number to new TB

The Droid was my first smartphone, before that I had a tracfone, (don't laugh!). I'm getting at Thunderbolt delivered tomorrow. How do I go about transferring my phone number to the new phone? Do I have to go to the Verizon store and have them do it?

If you ordered it online and signed a new contract, all you should have to do is insert the simcard (if its not already) and power it on. It will automatically activate. Just make sure your old phone is off first.

You have to dial some 877 number from a different phone.... It's in the literature you'll receive on how to activate.

Oh yeah and that. There is a pamphlet in the box with easy to follow steps.
