How do I set new ringtones for text messages?

I am trying to download new ringtones and have been successfull. However when I try to set the new tones as a text ringtone the new ones dont appear on the list. How do I fix this?

I am using phonezoo and sending it as an mms attachment and then saving the file. I then go to the mp3 and set as ringer but its only available as a ringtone and not anything else.

Make folders in your SD card called Ringtones (for ringtones of course), Notifications (For MMS, Email alerts and such) and Alarms (For alarms, obviously). Put the .mp3 files in the corresponding folders and they will appear in your menu along with the default sounds.
