Rooted my razr, then deleted a few bloatware apps (not sure which ones) and now the 6.12.173 update fails....is there a way to restore back to stock so update will work....thanks in advance
Unless you can figure out all of the apps you deleted and restore them your best bet is to find the fastboot files for 2.3.5 and flash back to bone stock. Then take the update. In the future it is better to just freeze unwanted bloat than to delete. makes things much easier and you won't have to go through this again.
I am not sure if you could use the Root Toolkit to flash forward to bone stock 2.3.6. Maybe someone will chime in on that option.
They were available in the root toolkit I linked to above. But that has been updated to 2.3.6. As I said using that to flash to 2.3.6. May be an option. Best to ask in that thread. I don't wanna steer you in the wrong direction.
Flash these using the stock Motorola Recovery. (Power by holding up both volume buttons and the power button, and choose Recovery. When you see the triangle hit both volume buttons than Install update from .zip on the SD card).
