how do I get SPRecovery on to Fascinate?

If I install Clockwork recovery does that also put SPRecovery on Fascinate or are they totally separate? I had both on my Droid, but don't remember how SPR go on there.

I am already rooted, but want to do a nandroid backup before going much further.

I just remembered I could use ROM manager to flash SPR, duh.

edit: but it didn't work, hmmm...

edit: now phone won't boot. Rescue squad here I come, crap!

still not clear on where the 'nandroid' comes from or how to get it. On my droid, I would see it in recovery menu (was it just the SPR one?), but I don't see it on my Fascinate.

nandroid is just the backup/restore. run your backups and restores thru CW its alot more simple. all you need to do now is get a rom/kernel/theme and get flashing

you mean the "backup/restore" seen in the recovery menu is nandroid?

and CW equals ROM manager?

I have concluded that SPRecovery is not available for Fascinate.
ROM manager has grayed out as alternative recovery.
Any one care to confirm or contradict?

Spr is not available.
