How do I get media to save directly to SD card?

Everything, photos, videos, etc... is being stored in the phone storage. I cannot find a way to change the settings so these things store on the SD card. Other people have said their phone does this automatically, but mine does not. How do I change this setting? Thanks!

Nevermind...I used Astro and found the folder with the music & photos...it just seemed based on the file size that they were not saving there...almost out of memory on the phone but the SD card looks like it has barely been used...weird.
