How customizeable is the blinking LED? Which app is best?

I have "Blink" but it pretty much sucks.

How customizable can we get with the blinking LED? For example: if I get an email from (ex) John can I have the LED blink green, and no other time does it blink green?

Which app is the best for customizing the LED?

I don't know if you can get that specific with email, I know handcent allows you to select specific colors depending on who sends you a text, but I don't know any email app that let's you do that.

Light flow is another LED customization app I believe, but again it only provides per application customization and not something as specific as you want...another alternative is flashing a ROM as many of them include LED customization built in (per application)

Try "Blink" seems to work well for me and I can set some colors and blink rate.
