How come screen only rotates one way?

i know i know i know... because the keyboard is on that end...
but... when charging and trying to use the clock, its hard to set it up so you can read it. i MIGHT get a dock, but $30 just so i can charge it seems like a lot.
my blackberry rotated 3 directions, and i ve had LG phones that rotate all 4.
i know the phone is capable of doing it, is there an app?

If you want to change your home screen, i believe others have been stating that some of them do allow for the home screen rotation after that. Check out some of the threads in the app section that deal with home screen replacement.
