Famed developer "Chainfire" has released a new app that allows you to use the built in Native hotspot feature of Android as intended. Some OEMs and carriers either lock down or altogether hide the native hotspot. Sometimes this option is hidden for various reasons, or can be blocked if no SIM card is installed. This app is not intended to beat the carrier's tethering protection, but it will do this for some users even without root. It was intended mainly for circumventing issues when setting up a local device to device network. It wasn't necessarily purposed to give your other devices internet access or to allow you to share internet access, although it does do that. This may not work for every device to enable native hotspot tethering and since that is not what it was intended for there is no need to contact Chainfire for that sort of support.
