home launcher

i am currently trying to learn how to make an alternate home launcher. Examples of these are Zeam, LauncherPro, ADW, Go, and many more. Ive got several android books but none of them have specific information on creating such an application. can someone either give me the name of a book that has this info, or even link me to some forums or something that has information about this? any help is appreciated.

i know this is the wrong section for this but i get much faster answers here.

Considering that you are too busy to read the official documentation and API, start with Gridded Workspace For Android Part 2 | greglui.com and then just build an app like you always do. I'm not sure why you would even need a “book” for that, because everything is generally the same.
