Help: Wont boot past M and wont register on computer

HELP! I have RSD lite and it wont recognize my phone because the phone wont boot past the M logo. I have tried booting into recovery and it wont show an option to restore backup. What do i have to do to get this phone back on? The faster the help the better! Thanks

Breathe, it'll be ok.
Now, what are you trying to do since you're obviously already rooted? RSD isn't "seeing" your phone because you have to be in bootloader first.

ok how do i get to bootloader? I have just rebooted and held X down...then pressed the search button to get into android system recovery...then plugged the phone in to the computer...what do i do next or have i messed up already?

i love you! I was completely freaking out there...i was sbfing because i messed up and tried to flash an old rom on the 2.2 kernel...THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH

let us know how your sbf went! you can also access bootloader from [phone off] camera button + volume up + power, which is the Droid X method but we're pretty much the same hardware.
