Help with Incredible

Hello folks;
I'm new to this forum.
I have Verizon Incredible. i have 2 issues, hope someone can help.

1. When i send an email from any client to my phone such as Outlook using "1234567890@vtext.com" my phone never receives it. Any idea?

2. When someone send me an IM on my Yahoo, if i'm not logged in to Yahoo on the phone, it turns into a text message and although the person who sent it on my contact list, still won't show that person's full name. How can i turn this off so the IM won't turn into text and how to make the sender name appear?
