My dd wants an iPhone, she has an early upgrade on her account but Verizon said no iPhone. I am going to give her my almost new iPhone and take a droid. I was going to get the bionic but Verizon said no to the bionic, razr, and rezound as well. Honestly after looking at them all in the store they are way too big and bulky for me anyway.
So I am now looking at mid tier phones that I can live with until August- our next available phone upgrade. I think I found the two that I'm most interested priced at less than $200:
I was looking at the stratosphere cause I like the super amoled screen. I also like the 4 inch screen size, seems not too big and not too small. I don't like the physical keyboard and will probably rarely, if ever use it. But I like that the phone has 3 virtual keyboards to choose from including Swype. I don't like the unassisted gps and the build quality reminds me of my Samsing Rogue which I hated! The phone is a a bit big and thick. Also not a touch wiz fan though I do like the toggles in the notification bar. I would have to buy more storage because 8 gigs inst enough. Battery life seems like it would be decent with a 1800 mah battery. Great price at only $99 and it is 4GLTE which seems like a great phone with a lot of higher end features for a more reasonable price.
The other one is the HTC rezound. I am not a big phone person so I like the size. I like the toned down sense and the customization of the lock screen. But I hate the phone dialer and messaging apps on HTC. Another downer is that it only has HTC's keyboard with no Swype available. I am also concerned about battery life. I had an HTC incredible and I got rid of it after a few months because the battery life was horrendous. Not sure I want to haul a big dock with me everywhere I go. It's a bit pricey I think at $199 for non 4g but I do really like the camera and customization features and how pocketable it is. Also the storage is closer to meeting my needs.
So part of me thinks I should get the stratosphere because it is a 4g device for $100. The other part of me thinks I should hold out for a sale on the rhyme because I'm happier with the size.
Does anyone have any thoughts on either phone?
