Handcent sms draining battery

Maybe I'm just being paranoid about my battery.. but it seems when I use handcent my battery drains faster.

My settings are:
Stock sms notif turned off
Handcent notif on
Popup on (lite mode)--screen not on when message recieved--also popup doesnt disappear (I have it set like that on purpose)


Does anybody know if this is true or is it just me thinking that my battery is draining faster?

I use Handcent and have the stock app's notification off and the Handcent notification is on. I'm not believe that Handcent is having a significant impact on my battery.

Just go look under the settings menu, it tells you a lot more than what we can. Just go to Settings > About Phone > Battery Use

Me too.
I know its not killing my batt, but in comparison to stock, in a full batt, it might use 1-3% more..... (well worth it too me)

check your battery use.

i've had handcent since day 1 and never caused battery problems.

Impossible for us to say (we're not psychic). You could check the battery info screen...
