Gtalk v1.3 with Voice and Video for Gingerbread

good evening all. first off this app has been out for a while now.
and quite a few people have inverted / tweaked / themed this like crazy.
however I never really used the voice or video functions until very recently
and learned that most if not all versions were broken to some extent if you
wanted more than just a text message.

so with the help of my friends and with the original inversions in place
and a week of bashing my head against APK manager I finally hit pay dirt.
used 4.7 instead of the current 4.9 and then things really started flowing.

also as Andy mentioned in this thread, you might have to mount /system manually before proceeding to get the update to take.

Just a note, your update.zip will only work on sholes (D1). Might grab a generic update.zip and use that, throw out the disclaimer that you may need to manually mount /system on some phones, like the net droids and tbolt.

If it's broken the video of you will be sideways on the other end regardless of your phone's orientation.

Also, I downloaded & booted into recovery where I cleared my cache x2 & cleared my davlik x2 and flashed your zip but once booted up it's not inverted. I'm running MikG v2.2 if that matters. I also noticed that your version says version v2.3 and I thought the latest version was v1.3?

updated OP with generic update.zip format for all devices

this is V1.3 the most up to date, I had 2.3.4 on it referencing what GB rom I was working with. sorry about that.

Downloaded it again & tried it several times but couldn't get past the splash screen on any attempt. Had to recover s backup just to boot the pone. Is it an odexed/deodexed thing or???

that I don't have an answer for.
and more so that you can't get past the splash screen
even in my failed attempts I could still get into my phone

could be something to do with what Andy said, about having to mount the /system manually to get it up and running correctly.

I'm pretty sure the FC's reported to you are because the libtalk_jni.so file is missing for the video/audio function... that lib file needs to be added with these update.zips for those ROMs that do not have that file in the stock ROM to begin with. I've forgotten to add that necessary lib file a couple times myself.

As for why some ROMs now has the issue with the D1 not sending the video feed out, still a mystery for now...the video in works fine on the Droid's screen though...

Update zip "failed to install" via rzr on LGB2.2 D1....
So I moved the apk to my theme zip and it installs.. Looks great but tries fc'ing when video button is pushed... kinda pointless on D1 anyhow, just loving the black!!!!
