GPS locking up

I can't seem to find another thread related to my problem, so please help. The GPS icon will on my DROID will randomly cycle on and off for a few hours, and then stay on. I can only remove the icon by turning it off under settings. When I turn it back on, the icon comes back up , and stays on. Also, when this happens, the GPS is locked up. It will not search "my location" or any other fucntions in Google Maps etc. Any Ideas?

Yes, I'm intermittently seeing this as well. The only solution i have found is to power-off, remove the battery, re-insert battery, and power back on.
