I have been reading that the one us uses oxygen os which is based on Android
Some.people seem to have trouble with the at store and the alternative skin launcher apex. Do most Android apps work on oxygen os?

Haven't had an issues with the play store on my 6T or 7 Pro, never heard of that issue.

I thought their Oxygen OS is basically just Android with their specific "skin", but the standard Google Play Store is still installed? Maybe I misunderstood.

That's exactly what it is, closest to vanilla android besides the pixel series.

Thanks for confirming. Moto's current build /launcher is pretty close to stock also. They are also trying to go as close to stock Android as possible.

So if you run the one plus on Verizon who pushes the updates does one plus push it?

From my understanding Verizon approves OS updates for their branded phones, but the updates themselves could me from the Manufacturer. That's why you can still download OS updates on WiFi with no SIM card installed.

I see the Moto G Fast was just released. Looks like another great phone in the Moto G family.

I'm on T-Mobile and the OnePlus updates comes directly from OnePlus, I bought my phone directly from OnePlus and not T-Mobile and you should too if you want timely updates.
EDIT:
In fact on a OnePlus phone you can use a VPN for Germany or in that region and get your update before the US does.
EDIT:
I won't ever buy a branded phone again as the updates are much faster.

I find that the updates break more then fix. Last Android rev broke nfc and hey Google unless I reboot only works for ten minutes then something conflicts. Don't want to erase and rebuild phone

Have had 5-6 OS updated on my and my wives 7 Pro, nothing has broken................................ever. I think you're talking about updates through your provider.
