Verify your identity - Wallet Help

Actually I may have done that once. I may have done that once a long time ago and never used it again after.
I know I did NOT have to send a copy of my ID. You sure about that one?

I've moved a few times over the years. Maybe my address didn't match? Idk.

That's why I did it through my bank account. I didn't feel comfortable giving out my ID & SS number. I figured since the funds in my bank account are covered under FDIC insurance, I was better off giving out that information as opposed to the alternate verification.
Took less than a minute to verify....now whenever someone sends you money through Google Wallet, you can instantly transfer it into your bank account. Easy peasy.

I wonder if I can still do that via the Web on my PC... I get a screen before the one I posted when I click on my wallet balance is whatever in the app asking me to verify my identity, then that screen I posted comes up.

I know that I've linked my credit card that I also use for the Play Store, but I have not been asked for any other identification. Not sure if I want to link my bank or not yet.

If it's as simple as linking my bank account, I'll link the one I don't actually use our keep any money in for safety.

My "Tap and Pay" says ready, which is linked to my credit card. I will try that first before linking to a bank account.

Yeah, I have to verify before I can use tap and pay. I'm on hold right now. The rep I've been speaking with sent me an email with a secure link to submit my proof of identity and is now speaking with a specialist to get it verified. Said it should take 5-10 minutes and he'll check in with me periodically.

I clicked the link where it said I could call instead if I was more comfortable, but just my luck, they still needed the documents. I guess that makes me feel good that they're not just letting anyone setup an account with my name and info.

Hope Google doesn't steal my identity...Haha

Their hold music is painful to listen to. Some kinda strange, high-pitched world music/piano kinda jams.

EDIT: with Electronica undertones...wtf is this?

Now that you mention the verification code, I had to send for one and receive it. Didn't take long at all when I went through the process.

I finally told him he could send me a followup email. Every time he came back on the line to let me know he was still waiting and then that he hadn't received a response as to whether I was verified, he asked if I wanted to continue to hold, or if I'd like a call back, or if I'd like a followup email. Got tired of the music and having to sit through the question every time.

And now we're chatting about my job and hobbies. Haha! He called back because my account is setup with my name being Jon J. instead of my given legal name, so I had to verify with the specialist what my legal name is and the rep I'm on the phone with is chatting back and forth with the specialist (I'm assuming on Hangouts?) Haha!

And now I'm verified. Woot! Now I have to wait for the challenge deposit to come through so I can verify the account I just linked to it.
