Google Voice Minutes Usage

Does using Google Voice use any of your minutes? I'm talking about the app on the Droid like when you check your VM. Also, if someone calls my GV number from their verizon phone and it forwards to my mobile, are they being charged anytime minutes or is it considered an "In" number. Thanks!

Thanks guys, so according to that article if I add my Google voice number as one of my 10 family numbers, I'd essentially have unlimited free calling? Is that a violation of any Verizon TOS's? And all I'd have to do is call my Google number from my handset and then press option 2 and dial the next number?
