Google Earth GONE from the store...?

I think it is something with the store not reading the version properly...I did a manual update on my one phone and could not find Google Earth in the MP, just manually updated my replacement phone with the same update file and was able to find Google Earth within the MP...sorry messed up on their end I think.

I agree. I think it is a server-side market bug.

After a while since 2.1's released, I was very hesitated doing the manual installation, I finally decided to do it about 15 mins ago. Now, I can't find the Google Earth. That application which I have on my computer is my most favorite application/program. I am disappointed that I can't find it on my Droid. On other side, the 2.1 is pretty neat. I really would love to have that Google Earth on my Droid! Please.

Its definitely not been yanked. I still agree with it being an issue on the server side of things.

I couldn't find Google earth after I manually updated to 2.1 either. Today I did A factory reset and after tada it was there. Backup your stuff and give it a try.

I know I saw some post about saving backups. But I can't remember where I have seen it. Or how I should do the backups. Could you please direct me how to back up my stuffs? So I can do the factory reset.

First off I went to my contacts hit the menu key and selected import/export then exported my contact list to the SD card, any thing thats on the SD card wont get erased pics, music, contacts list after you export to SD card ect............but. if you have a notepad app you will want to copy with pen & paper. Worked for me do it at your own risk. Aloha

Update to missing Google Earth: Count my mom as another person who can't find Google Earth in the Market. She got her update OTA and I manually did mine. So there you go.

Nope. I see Google maps but not Google Earth. I just got my 2.1 update. Scanning the barcode doesn't work for me either. Maybe if I power off and back on??"?

I tried the Power off/on. Didn't work. According to some posters, try the Factory reset. But first, backup everything before doing the reset.

Wait folks.

Slow down. Is this only happening to new 2.1 updaters that are immediatly going to the market and not finding it?

Thats actually normal, as the market doesn't update according to your build.prop changes (because of 2.1) for a few hours.

I wish I would have known this. Otherwise, I wouldn't do the factory reset. Now I can't activate it because it requires by LISTENING to instructions to activate it. I am deaf. Now, I have to go to Verizon store and have them help me activate my Droid! :frown:
