Going naked

Naked with SGP screen protector. Stuff is like glass. I have a cheap knockoff case for when I travel outdoors and the like. Id like a pricier case like the Seidio or the Otter, but I hate how thick they make the phones feel. They're already thick slider phones.

mines wrapped in a very sexy invisible shield, it covers most of the exposed parts but it doesnt add any bulk, kinda like a suran wrap burrito. im hungry.

So does the gorilla glass feel a lot better than the screen protector? I just have the screen protector they put on at the store when I bought the phone. I don't really see a reason to take it off unless it looks better or feels better with it off, even if the glass keeps scratch free.

It is super smooth without even the smoothest of screen protectors!

Screen protector off. Mmm... glossy. Well, I hold you totally responsible if I break my phone lol.

Give me Liberty or give me Death!

*i GO!*

2 piece blk snap on grip + screen protector from vzw store. When I'm home, I go with the case off my D2 if I want. The real feel is sweet, just like new. I'm confident the screen is plenty tough, and know mine is mint under the protector. Take good care to fetch healthy $um, if need be traded or sold for new hot 'ish. This one's a keeper, first one I cn say that for. Woo hoo! Butt naked! . . Well, except for screen protector. . Anyway, ditched vzw i m on wifi, voice and data, droid does . . . .

What do you prefer, case on or case off? I love having my droid naked, but I get worried about dropping it. I have a body glove case from the verizon store and when I take it off it feels like a whole new phone.

Also, do you think there are any cases that make the phone better? I think I'm going to ditch the body glove.

Ps I'm sure there are tons of threads about this, but its nice to have a fresh thread.

My D2 has a screen protector, and nothing else. It's too sexy of a device to hide! Plus, my belt holster is padded and soft inside and keeps it safe.

Based on what I've read, you're better off with the Seidio Innocase Active. Someone just posted a review of the OB and said it cracked after a 2ft drop onto linoleoum. Others have posted negative reviews, and I've only seen 2 positive reviews.

I've seen a lot of positive reviews of it. I guess I'm gonna have to do a little more research.
Does anyone have both of these cases? Which is better?

Naked with a screen protector from Verizon. I have never used a case on any phone and don't plan to on this one. They are a pain.

Agreed cases are a pain. Especially when you need a quick battery pull. They also add insulation to the phone making it hard to cool down. I've dropped the bejesus out of my droid and doesn't seem to break. Even dropped it water.(if you try to turn it on wet, your screwed, put it in a ziplock bag with rice and seal it for a couple days, change the rice out periodically, the rice absorbs all the moisture out of the phone)

Lol my brother dropped his ipod in a cup of coffee and tried that but it didn't work. And I completely agree with the battery pull thing, but I need to protect my investment :)
